Itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi – Home Phutoey River Kwai
- 6:00-6:30 AM: Pick-up from centrally located Bangkok hotels and depart for Kanchanaburi (128 km west of Bangkok).
- Morning:
- Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum showcasing the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway.
- Pay respects at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, the resting place of 6,000 Allied POWs.
- Explore the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, part of the historic Death Railway built by Allied POWs.
- Noon: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
- Afternoon:
- Visit the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre to learn about the railway’s construction and the hardships endured by workers.
- Walk the Hellfire Pass Memorial Trail along the original railway bed.
- Transfer to Home Phutoey River Kwai and check in.
- Evening: Have dinner and stay overnight at Home Phutoey River Kwai.
Day 2: Home Phutoey River Kwai – Bangkok
- Morning:
- After breakfast, take a short jungle walk along the riverbank to the Mon Tribal Village.
- Visit the village, Golden Rock, Buddha Image Cave, and the local school.
- Return to Home Phutoey River Kwai.
- 11:00 AM: Check out and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
