This tour also includes a visit to Kanchanaburi, home to the historic River Kwai and its World War II heritage.

The iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, built in 1943 during World War II, was part of a railway project connecting Thailand and Burma. Tragically, more than 100,000 laborers and 12,000 prisoners of war lost their lives during its construction. Besides the bridge, you’ll also explore the JEATH War Museum, which showcases photos and artifacts from this significant period in history.

You’ll be accompanied by a professional English-speaking guide who will provide valuable insights and explain the important history behind each landmark. This tour also includes convenient round-trip transfers in an air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver.

Itinerary

• 8:30 AM: We will pick you up from your hotel in Bangkok.
• Begin your journey westward toward the Floating Market, located about 110 km from the city.
• Enjoy a scenic drive through rice paddies and salt fields along the way.
• Stop to learn how palm sugar is made before arriving at the jetty.
• Damnoen Saduak Floating Market:
• Glide through the market on a long-tail boat and explore the intricate network of small canals. Marvel at the vibrant variety of goods sold from boats of all shapes and sizes. For an optional experience, take a paddleboat ride through the market. Visit a carving factory to watch skilled artisans transform wood into beautiful works of art.

• Kanchanaburi War Cemetery:
• Enjoy a relaxing lunch before visiting the war cemetery. Pay respects to the 6,982 prisoners of war who lost their lives while building the Death Railway.
  • Duration: 2 hours
• JEATH War Museum:
• Explore the JEATH War Museum, housed in a thatched detention hut. Discover photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia from World War II.
  • Duration: 1 hour
• River Kwai Bridge:
• Walk across the world-famous Bridge over the River Kwai and learn about its history as part of the railway linking Thailand and Myanmar, constructed by Allied prisoners of war under Japanese supervision.
• 6:30 PM: Depart for Bangkok and arrive back at your hotel.

• Our tours operate almost every day. In case of cancellation or urgency, we will notify you at least 12 hours before the tour time. If this happens, our Customer Service Representative may suggest an alternative date or provide a full refund.
• Be ready in your hotel lobby 15 minutes before the time specified on your voucher.
• If you arrive late, we may reallocate your booking to a later time if available. Otherwise, the booking will be automatically canceled with a 100% charge.
• Drivers may be delayed by 15-45 minutes due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances.
