    Itinerary

    DAY 1: BANGKOK – KANCHANABURI – HOME PHUTOEY RIVER KWAI

    • Morning:

      • Arrive in Kanchanaburi.
      • Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum dedicated to the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway.
      • Explore the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, a memorial to over 6,000 Allied POWs who died along the Death Railway.
      • Visit the Bridge over the River Kwai, a historic landmark part of the Death Railway built by Allied POWs.
    • Noon:

      • Lunch at a local restaurant.

    • Afternoon:

      • Visit the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre, showcasing the history of the Burma-Thailand Railway and the hardships faced by workers.
      • Descend the stairs behind the museum to the Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail, following the original rail bed.
      • Transfer to Home Phutoey River Kwai and check-in.
    • Evening:

      • Dinner and overnight stay at Home Phutoey River Kwai.

    DAY 2: MON TRIBAL VILLAGE – MON CHAT

    • Morning:

      • After breakfast, take a long-tailed boat to visit the Mon Tribal Village, where the Mon people have lived for generations.
      • Visit the Golden Rock, Buddha image cave, and the village school.
      • Experience Mon culture through a talk with the locals about their history, religion, and dances.
      • Learn how to wear traditional Mon costumes and play the Saba game.
      • Make Tanaka powder from the bark and wood of the Tanaka tree, used as a natural cosmetic and sunscreen.
      • Take a short walk along the jungle trail to a stunning viewpoint of the River Kwai.
      • Return for lunch at Home Phutoey River Kwai.
    • Afternoon:

      • Visit Home Phutoey Peace Park to see the collection of artwork titled “Images as a Japanese Prisoner of War” by British artist Jack Chalker, who was a POW for three years.
      • Explore the Weary Dunlop Museum and replicas of hospital huts.
    • Evening:

      • Dinner and overnight stay at Home Phutoey River Kwai.

    DAY 3: HOME PHUTOEY RIVER KWAI – BANGKOK

    • Morning:

      • Breakfast at the resort.

    • 11:00 AM:

      • Check-out and proceed to lunch at a local restaurant.

    • 1:00 PM:

      • Take a historic ride on the Death Railway Train, crossing over the original wooden viaduct built by Allied POWs.

    • 2:30 PM:

      • Journey back to Bangkok.

    • 6:00 PM:

      • Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to hotels.

    • Maximum 2 children between 3 and 12 years old per room with 2 adults:
    • Infants aged 0-2 years will not be charged for this tour.
    • Children of age with no extra bed will be charged 51500 THB.
    • Children with extra bed requirements will be charged 6850 THB.

    • Depending on the number of guests on any confirmed tours, the correct type of car / mini-van / coach cannot be confirmed upon reservation. This also depends on the availability of accommodation.
    • Transfers are only operated within Sukhumvit (Soi 1 - 33), Silom, Pratunam areas and restricted to main hotels only. Regions outside the central business district such as Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, both International Airports, Ratchadapisek and upper Sukhumvit (Soi 33 and further) are excluded and supplementary charges apply
    • Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power
    • The accommodation used during this tour is simple accommodation with standard amenities. This includes air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, warm water and swimming pool. Not wheelchair accessible.

    • Any rejection of meals or tour program is non-refundable
    • Deviations of the tour programs or time given may sometimes necessary depending on traffic condition or uncontrollable circumstances. The journey back to Bangkok may be later than 6 pm. Please make sure you leave ample of time when planning other trips / flights / trains after the tour

  • Cancellation Policy

    Pre-Paid Booking

    Cancellations must be made in writing prior to the arrival date. Penalties will be applied as per the following rules:

    • 20-30 days before arrival: 30% of the total stay will be charged.
    • 8-19 days before arrival: 50% of the total stay will be charged.
    • 1-7 days before arrival or no-show: The full cost of the stay will be charged.
