The Araksa Tea Garden is located on a scenic, forever green hills, the tea plantation specializes in producing the finest and high-quality Assam tea. Upon your arrival, you will immediately notice the abundantly lush green tea garden. This experience will educate you about tea growing and the tea-making process from the scratch!

Get hands-on experience on how to pluck the tree from the experience resident plucker and watch the whole demonstration of how tea is created in the traditional way. The tea Garden aspires to preserve the surrounding environment and local culture, their message is reflected in their name 'Araksa' which translates to' preserve' in Sanskrit.

How to reach?

The tea plantation is about 1 hr and 20 mins drive away from Chiang Mai city. The visitors can hire a car from the city to easily reach the Araksa Tea Garden in Mae Tang.

Itinerary

• You will be greeted by the friendly staff upon arrival at the wonderful Araksa tea garden.
• The staff will introduce you to the tea garden tour guide.
• Follow your guide and the resident pickers, who will lead you to tea bushes.
• You will get a demonstration on how to pluck tea leaves.
• If you wish you can join them in the tea-plucking activities.
• Head to the roasting station to watch the art of tea-making by hand which includes kneading to roasting the leaves.
• Meanwhile, the guide will brief you on the different processes and methods one can use to cultivate young tea plants.
• Once the roasting is done you will get to taste a delicious cup of tea and tasty Thai Snacks.

• The children under the age of 6 years will be free of charge.
• Children from the age of 6-12 will be charged according to the child rate.
• Children of age 13 and above will be charged according to the adult rates.
