As we venture into the heart of the countryside, you'll have the chance to witness the simplicity and tranquility of Karen village life. Throughout the trek, be enthralled by the stunning natural landscapes that surround you. From verdant forests to cascading waterfalls, each step will lead you deeper into the heart of Chiang Mai's unspoiled beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1

• 7:30 AM - Pick up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai City.
• Drive approximately 1.5-2 hours to arrive at Elephants at Home.
• Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and, most importantly, with our elephants. As there are no other tourists, you will be our honored guests for the day.
• 10:00 AM - Spend time learning about the elephants, feeding them, and giving them a refreshing wash.
• 11:30 AM - Embark on a scenic walk with our majestic elephants through the rainforest to a beautiful waterfall.
• 12:15 PM - Lunchtime.
• 1:00 PM - Enjoy a refreshing swim in the waterfall and engage in more interactions with the elephants.
• 2:30 PM - Walk with the elephants back to the camp.
• 3:30 PM - Depart for Chiang Mai after a full day at our elephant sanctuary. Upon returning to Baannapenhomstay, you can relax, and if you wish:
• 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM - Partake in a Karen and Thai cooking class (optional).
• 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Dinner.
• 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Relax by the campfire and savor the sounds of a Karen musician performing traditional songs.

Day 2 - Visit a Karen Village and Coffee Plantation

• 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM - Breakfast.
• 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Immerse yourself in the simple and peaceful way of life in the Karen village. Explore traditional crafts like weaving and basket making, admire the simple wooden architecture, and observe farming practices. Interact with the cows, buffaloes, and chickens, and share smiles and laughter with the children.
• 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch and relaxation.
• 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Visit a coffee plantation and learn about the coffee-making process, including roasting techniques.
• 3:00 PM - Bid farewell to the village and depart for your next adventure.

Remark: Walking through the river for a foot massage is only available from November to May. Enjoy the creeks, waterfalls, forests, and mountain views from June to December.

• Children between the age of 6-11 years will be charged according to the child rate.
• Children between the age of 0-5 will be free of charge.
• Anyone above the age of 11 will be charged according to the adult rate.
