Embark on an unforgettable full-day adventure at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, where you'll have the chance to get close to these magnificent creatures in a natural and sustainable environment. Located near a Karen village in a mountainous region, this sanctuary offers visitors an opportunity to witness elephants living freely in a forested paradise. The day begins with a scenic 1.5-hour drive through Northern Thailand's countryside, offering glimpses of rural life and breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, an English-speaking guide will lead you through the sanctuary, where you'll meet and interact with the elephants, learn about their behaviour, and discover their unique histories. This enriching experience includes feeding the elephants, taking photos, bathing and brushing them in the river, and even joining them for a therapeutic mud spa. The day culminates with a delicious traditional Thai lunch, followed by a relaxing walk through the Karen village before returning to Chiang Mai.

Itinerary:

• Pick up from your hotel or accommodation between 8:00 and 8:30 am
• Drive approximately 1.5 hours outside of Chiang Mai, passing through rural landscapes, agricultural areas, and forested hills.
• Arrive at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and meet your guide.
• Walk for 10-15 minutes through the jungle to reach the sanctuary.
• Change into traditional Karen clothing.
• Enjoy an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behaviour.
• Meet the elephants and interact with them by feeding, playing, and learning about their unique behaviours and history.
• Take photos with the elephants and capture these precious moments.
• Enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit.
• Learn how to make herbal medicine balls that are beneficial for the elephants' digestive system.
• Walk with the elephants to the river for a fun bath and brush session.
• Join the elephants in a therapeutic mud spa, getting muddy while the elephants enjoy the treatment.
• Swim in the river and take more photos with the elephants.
• Change clothes and say goodbye to the elephants.
• Leave the sanctuary and return to Chiang Mai.
• Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.

• Adult price applies to individuals aged 9 years and older.

• Our pick-up time and guide numbers for tours will be confirmed by our Customer Service Representative before 12 hours of the tour date (for join tours).
• For all private tours, pick-up points are already mentioned in the itinerary.

Additional Information:

Children aged 0-2 can join the tour for free provided they do not occupy an additional seat.

• Children aged 3-8 will be charged 75% of the tour's rate.
• Children over 8 will be considered adults.
• Our tours are available almost every day. In case of any urgency or cancellation, we will inform you before 12 hours of the tour time. Our Customer Service Representative may suggest an alternative date or refund your money immediately.
• This tour is available in English only, but you can request a private tour in many different languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). Please specify your preferred language when booking a private tour.
• Please wait in the hotel lobby 15 minutes before the specified time to start the tour.
• Any delay on your part may result in the tour being re-scheduled to a later time (if available). Otherwise, the booking will be auto-canceled with a 100% charge.
• The driver may be late by 15-45 minutes due to traffic or other unforeseen circumstances.
• You do not need to show a printed voucher, just show the mobile voucher or booking confirmation on your phone to the guide.
• Please note that activity times may be affected by various factors such as weather, equipment maintenance, or safety protocols.
• Sun Leisure World reserves the right to cancel any booking due to bad weather conditions or natural disasters.
