The Ang Ka Nature Trail immerses you in a peaceful cloud forest filled with mossy trees and gentle birdsong. Nearby, the elegant Twin Pagodas, Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Bhumisiri, rise above the mountains in honor of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit. The Wachirathan Waterfall adds to the park’s charm, its thundering flow echoing through the lush greenery.

Hidden among the hills, a Karen Hill Tribe village offers a glimpse into a simple and harmonious way of life. Rice terraces, coffee plantations, and friendly locals create a warm and welcoming scene.

Itinerary

• Start your tour with a morning pickup from your central Chiang Mai city hotel or meeting point by a professional tour guide.
• Visit the highest peak in Thailand and take a short walk along the Ang Ka Nature Trail. This area is known as a cloud forest, remaining cool and moist all year round (usually between 9–15°C), and is considered one of the most pristine natural areas in Thailand.
• Continue your journey to the Twin Pagodas — Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Bhumisiri — built to honor King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit on their fifth cycle birthdays. Each pagoda enshrines sacred Buddha relics.
• In the afternoon, visit Wachirathan Waterfall, a site of ecological and cultural importance. The waterfall sustains the surrounding ecosystem and contributes to the region’s rich biodiversity.
• Stop at the Karen Hill Tribe Village in Mae Klang Luang, where locals make their living by growing rice and coffee. Explore the rice terraces and coffee orchards, enjoy the tranquil scenery, and sample freshly brewed local coffee before heading back.
