This adventure through the green roads and unbeaten paths would take you to see historic sites where the old tradition continues to thrive. Do not worry about not being able to keep up and being exhausted as this tour includes small breaks after every hour, you can catch some breaks, drink water and then again continue this wonderful biking adventure!

How to reach?

The Recreational Biking Chiang Mai is located south of the old city of Chiang Mai. The cheapest and easiest way to reach the starting point is to book a taxi and directly go to the location.

Note:

• A minimum of two people are required for this tour but if there is a confirmed tour already then the tourists can book 1 PAX without a surcharge.
• Since this tour includes a visit to the temples the tourists are requested appropriately.

Itinerary

• Meet at the starting point to get prepared for this mind-blowing tour.
• The guide will take you through quite green roads, passing a historic settlement called Wiang Kum Kam. It was founded by King Mengrai in 1286.
• Get to see temples and ruins that date back hundreds of years.
• Make a stop at a local temple, the guide will brief you about the history and significance of the temple and some general information about Buddhism.
• Visit the McKean rehabilitation center, it is a former leper colony that was once cut off from the outside world. It functions as a rehabilitation center for people with physical disabilities. 
• Continue this adventure toward an elementary school attended by the hill-tribe children.
• We will then visit small pottery to watch the craftsmen produce fine pottery by hand.
• Bike along the Ping River to reach a local bakery. Try the delicious sweet bun while also observing them produce a range of products.
• The next stop is the market, check out the products in the small traditional shops. Sample some of the tastiest snacks and fruits.
• Halfway through the trip, you will be provided with a small Thai meal (Khao Soy Kai) in a local restaurant.
• Once the tour is about to end you will be guided back to the starting point.

• Children of 12 years or older are welcome to join all tours and are charged as adults.
• Children of age between 6-11 years will receive a 25% discount!
• Children from 0-5 will receive a 50% discount.
• For families with children younger than 12 years following rules are implied: 
  • A maximum of 1 child, between 0-5 per guardian.
  • Children between 0-5 years or with a maximum weight of 22 kg can join the tour on a special child safety seat on the bicycle of the guardian.
  • Older or heavier children should be able to ride a children's bicycle.
  • Parents and guardians are fully responsible for the behaviors and well-being of their children during the excursions.

• Private transfer to the starting point is available for an extra charge. In case of a maximum of three people they can book a Car/Limo, and for a group maximum of 8 people, they can opt for a minivan.

Cancellation Policy

• No Cancellation fee will be charged in case the guests cancel before 72 hours of departure.
• Canceling 48 - 24 hrs before departure will be charged with 50% of the fees.
• 100% cancellation will be charged in case of No Show or cancelation under 24 hrs.
