How to reach?
The Recreational Biking Chiang Mai is located south of the old city of Chiang Mai. The cheapest and easiest way to reach the starting point is to book a taxi and directly go to the location.
Itinerary
Day 1
- Reach the starting point Baan Nai Fun 1 in Pa-Dead.
- 09:00 - The tour will begin!
- Go southward following the Ping River, and take your cycle through quiet roads and small villages.
- Pass by the two beautiful Dvaravati Styled Chedis in Lamphun. These 1000-year-old Chedis are known to be housing the relics of queen Cham-Devi, her horse, and her elephants.
- Visit Haripunchai Museum to learn about the history of this city.
- It's time for a sumptuous Thai lunch!
- The next stop is a local temple where the older women weave silk.
- Visit the most revered temple in northern Thailand Wat Harinpunchai.
- Click nice pictures while posing in front of this beautiful temple.
- Pass by rice fields, and fruit orchards till you reach the resort where you will spend the night.
Day 2
- 08:30 am: Gather around to start the adventure!
- Leave the resort and cycle through a district, and meet the enthusiastic villagers!
- Go through beautiful paths leading you from one village to the next. You will be able to observe the daily activities of the villagers.
- Discover many chedis and ruins during your ride.
- Visit a sacred temple with the footprints of Lord Buddha.
- Stop by a family atelier known to create porcelain dolls. Check out the unique collection of thousand porcelain dolls.
- After a nice Thai lunch, you will continue this adventure back to the Ping River going Northwards.
- Reach the Handicraft village Baan Tawai and drink some nice cool refreshments. Take a stroll around the many shops with different kinds of handicrafts.
- The Last stop will be a local market, here you will get to taste some delicious local snacks and fruits.
- Return to the starting point from there you can depart for your hotel.
