Visit one of the historic Shan villages, Ban Muang Pon. It is located in Khun Yuam, about 75 kilometers south of Mae Hong Son. Ban Muang Pon provides a soft experience in local arts and crafts influenced by Myanmar, as well as the opportunity to view the exquisite traditional buildings and local delicacies of the Shan or Tai-Yai people. Learn how to manufacture "Tam Khon," a Shan Buddhist sign used in historical ceremonies. Observe how the magnificent bamboo weaving hat, or "Goob Tai," is made by the natives. Try a variety of local cuisine and fresh meat that will brighten your day.

Day 1: 

• Take a beautiful morning drive along the mountain road for about 1.5 hours. 
• Upon arrival meet our local guide at Wat Muang Pon. 
• Afterward, take a village walk tour and meet the locals.
• Visit a traditional Tai House and learn how to cook Shan food for your lunch.
• Lunch: at traditional Tai House
• Afternoon: Continue the walking tour to observe the lifestyle of the residents.
• Late afternoon returns to your homestay. 
• Dinner is served at your homestay with your host family.

Day 2:

• You can visit the local village morning market. 
• Buy some food to make an offering to the monk. 
• Then, breakfast at your homestay.
• Afternoon: Continue to experience the local wisdom of the traditional Tai clothesmaker group and the handicraft group.
• Late afternoon says goodbye to the local return to Mae Hong Son.
