Visit Mae Hong Son and explore the highlights with a local tourist guide. Introduce yourself to the locals in the Ban Muang Pon and get to know their usual practices. Participate in many different volunteer activities that are available throughout the year such as, working in farming with your host family, making check dams, making a fire break, and or maintaining the watershed area. Taste the delicious food at the host family for complete three days and click loads of pictures with them at this pleasant location.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Mae Hong Son – Ban Muang Pon (Lunch, Dinner)

• In the morning depart from your hotel in Mae Hong Son. 
• Drive over the beautiful mountain to Khun Yuam district. 
• Upon arrival meet your local guide and experience local Shan or Tai-Yai tradition and culture. 
• Visit the Shan temple and the late morning, meet your host family and then enjoy traditional Shan cuisine for your lunch.
• Lunch: at your homestay
• Afternoon: Continue your village walks tour. 
• Afterward, visit the traditional Shan costume-making group. 
• Late afternoon returns to your homestay/free at leisure.
• Dinner: at your homestay / free at leisure.

Day 2: Experience local culture and wisdom (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

• Wake up around 05.00 AM and buy some local Shan food for your set of offerings. 
• Afterward, return to your homestay for breakfast.
• Observe locals and how they make local sweets and snacks. 
• Afterward, visit the rice-paddy fields and group of organic produces.
• Lunch: at your homestay
• Afternoon: Learn how to make a traditional Shan hat (Goob Tai). 
• Late afternoon, you are welcome to join your host family to prepare dinner. 
• Dinner at your homestay/free at leisure.

Day 3: Ban Muang Pon – Mae Hong Son (B)

• Enjoy your breakfast at your homestay. 
• Choose a half-day volunteer activity and discuss it with your tour guide and the local community.
• Lunch: pack lunch at your homestay
• Afternoon: pack up and say goodbye to your host family. 
• Transfer to your hotel in Mae Hong Son.
