Ban Muang Pon offers a soft day tour to experience and witness the beautiful local art & craft, traditional architecture, and local foods of the Shan or Tai-Yai people. Drive to the destination and enjoy the scenic view of the high mountains and valleys in Mae Hong Son. Then head towards Ban Muang Pon, one of the traditional Shan villages in the Khun Yuam district. It is about 75 kilometers from Mae Hong Son city to the south. Explore the village with your group and see the speechless Shan Art and craft with local artisans.

Itinerary:

• In the morning, take a beautiful morning drive along a mountain road for 1.5 hours. 
• Upon arrival meet our local guide at Wat Muang Pon. 
• Afterward, take a village walk tour to witness the local Shan Arts and crafts.
•  Learn how to make a Shan Buddhist symbol Tam Khon.
• See how locals make beautiful bamboo weaving hats or “Goob Tai”.
• Just before your lunch, visit a traditional Tai House.
• Lunch: Thai-Yai local dishes.
• In the afternoon, continue to explore the village and meet villagers.
• Late afternoon says goodbye to the locals.
• Return to Mae Hong Son town.
